Due to the overwhelming popularity of QuickHT and suggestions for improvement, we have developed a webmasters edition that will help manage all the Basic Authentication needs for all directories on your server. HT Manager allows you to add, edit and delete multiple Users, as well as change the username and password for individual User.
You can perform all these functions on any directory on your website. You can suspend protection on a directory (great for development work) and re-protect the directory when needed. All of these functions at the click of a button!

Basic Authentication Management is an Apache protection management system, requiring the User to provide valid credentials (username and password) before they can gain access to a directory on your server. HT Manager empowers you with the ability to create and manage these Users, ensuring you sensitive documents remain hidden from prying eyes.
Each directory or sub-directory has it's on User Management database, or you can protect the top level directory to protect your entire website.
